The lake of sainte croix at 5 Km of the hôtel Colombier
Le Inaugurated in 1973, the dam created a
water basin covering a surface area of 2200 hectares
of the old Verdon valley, making it more
or less the same size aslake d'Annecy. The lake Sainte-Croix,
flanked by the Valensole plateau, 14 Km wide and 2 Km wide,
is delimited upstream by the pont du Galetas,
beyond which Kayaks and pedaloes sail up towards the Grand Canyon.
Downstream, below the dam, the river flows down intro the baudinard Gorges ( the middle Gorges)
of the old Verdon valley, making it more
or less the same size aslake d'Annecy. The lake Sainte-Croix,
